Not the tied kind either. My tying desk has been closed up for over a year, and I opened it up to start moving it down to the man cave. (Making room for the nursery)
Much to my dismay, I've had some bugs busily chomping away on some of my feathers. I had severe damage to some of my Whiting necks and two complete pheasant heads were destroyed. These had been left on the desk, and not sealed up in bags like I used to do. I guess I got lazy. Don't quite know how the bugs found them, I've always tried to take precautions. I mixed some Clorox and water and sprayed everything down so maybe the damage is over.
But going through the thousands of dollars worth of stuff in that desk has given me the fever again. I just might have to sit down and tie a few this week!

Well, I finally got the tying bench out a couple days ago and tied up some DH candy. It's been 2 years for me and the first couple had to be knifed and done over. If the 30 mph wind ever dies down, I'm hittin' the Green

| We're just sad . Once upon a time we had it goin' on at the vise . It's been almost a year since I've done any real tyin'. Tied some eggs , Y2K's and a Harlot or two for DH back in Oct . I had plenty of flies for fishin' this past year 'cause I tied so much prior . I need to bust out some flies for this year , but the idea of tyin' a Stimulator right now seams like a big deal . I need a pep talk from the Maharishi . Perhaps a swap is in order . |

Separate the stuff that had damage from the stuff that was sealed up and OK. Freeze it then wait 30 day to make sure you killed everything. I keep my stuff sealed up and in containers with a couple flea collars thrown in just to be sure.

Bill I kinda group stuff together in large baggies and put it in a large sealable containers. Otherwise the flea collar or anything else you use like moth balls will permeate the material with that smell. Just buy a couple from the dollar store and cut them in half and spread them around in your feathers and hair. Most stuff like thread and synthetics won't every have any problems.
